The Excelsior Fire District recently hired their first full-time Battalion Chief of Training. Please help us welcome, and congratulate, Scott Spinks!
A little bio on Battalion Chief Spinks:
I grew up on the St. Paul side of the cities. My father, now retired, worked the same job for his entire career and my mom worked her entire life. My brother and his wife are the parents of 4 amazing boys and two dogs. My partner, Wendy and I currently live in a quiet corner of Plymouth and are hard-working in our careers, but we also enjoy as much time together as possible. Our time with each other, time with our families and our time away from the daily grind is very important to us. We travel to the ocean and seek out beaches frequently. We also enjoy spending our time riding bicycles, running and taking in live sports. Personally, I worked as an artist for nearly 18 years, before changing careers and going full-time into EMS and the Fire Service. Since the change, I have been serving as a firefighter with Long Lake Fire and as a Paramedic with North Memorial Ambulance. I am a huge baseball, football and basketball fan, love playing sports, enjoy really good (and some bad) movies and I appreciate awesome food.
