Safety Camp 2022

The South Lake Minnetonka Police Dept and Excelsior Fire District had more than 30 kids attend the annual Safety Camp.  Activities the kids participated in:

- Checked out a SWAT truck and tried on SWAT gear

- Learned about fire safety and fire prevention

- Practiced their skills at the spray house

- Learned about firefighter gear

- Made their own first aid kit

- Were taught a few self-defense breakaway moves

- Watched the Minnetonka Police Department K-9 unit

- Learned the importance of life safety decision making with Dona Bania

- Bike safety and custom helmet fitting

- Sat in an air care helicopter

- Dined on fruit snacks, pizza, and popsicles!
