Retirement of EXFD Assistant Chief -- January 1, 2023

January 1, 2023 was a bittersweet day at Excelsior Fire District.  Our Assistant Chief Mike Heiland retired after 30 years of dedicated service to our communities.  While he will be missed dearly, we know he will be spending his free time with his family either hanging out in the Excelsior area or enjoying time on his boat.  Mike, we thank you for your service to our District.  To Mike's family, we thank you for supporting him on his journey with this department, after all, you guys are the strength behind the boots.  Mike, and enjoy this next chapter in your life!
