Southlake Safety Camp 2022

Safety Camp is a joint program offered by the City of Shorewood, Excelsior Fire District, and the South Lake Police Department. It is designed to teach children about safety, spending the day with police officers and firefighters, while having a fun camp experience!
Open to all residents in Excelsior, Deephaven, Greenwood, Shorewood, and Tonka Bay
Kids entering grade 3-5
2022 Safety Camp will include demonstrations by the Police Canine Unit, Water patrol, and a Life Link Helicopter.

Registration is$20 and is limited to 40 kids.
$20 includes:
· Camp t-shirt
· New bike helmet
· Water bottle
· Snacks
· Lunch,
· A goodie-bag of safety items
· Lots of great learning fun!
Safety Camp Schedule
8:15-8:30 a.m. Camper drop-off/sign-in
Morning activities:
· HCMC ambulance
· Hennepin County Sheriff's Canine unit
· SLMPD SWAT team
· Bike safety and helmet fitting
· Fire and personal safety
· Fire hose fun
Afternoon activities:
· Group photo and lunch
· Safety book reading
· Karate
· Life safety decision activity
· Electrical safety
· Life Link helicopter (weather and emergency dependent)
3:30 p.m. Camper pick-up
