Memorial Honoring Veteran Program- Parade and Parade Flyover-Graveside Ceremony at Oak Hill Cemetery-Social Gathering and Luncheon

Memorial Day Program

10:00 a.m.

Excelsior Elementary School

Memorial Day Parade

11:00 a.m. Parade Length: 1 mile

Starts at Water Street and County Road 19

Follow the parade to the Oak Hill Cemeteryby walking behind the last EFD Fire Truck.

 

Parade Flyover

During the parade and Oak Hill Cemetery.

Two Propeller Driven Military TrainerAircrafts.

The community would be delighted if youcould join us by participating in the

Memorial Day Events, including the parade.

If you need to ride in a vehicle for theparade, please let us know.

 

Honoring the Veteran in Your Life

Family and friends of veterans are invitedto honor their veteran in the parade. 

Carry pictures, posters, banners, mementosfrom their life, uniforms, and flags.

Excelsior Fire District Inaugural Poster Contest

The Excelsior Fire District is joining fire departments across Minnesota in participating in the Annual MSFCA Fire Prevention Poster Contest The MSFCA poster contest is a partnership with local public, private and home schools. Students in 3rd grade are encouraged to create a poster for a chance to be featured as the cover for an issue of the Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association Fire Chief magazine. Winners will also receive cash and other prizes. Each poster must follow the theme that is chosen for that year.
