Recreational Fire Burn Permit Print E-mail

The Excelsior Fire District follows the Fire Danger and Burning Restrictions determined by the Minnesota State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) The Excelsior Fire District strongly recommends that the residence of the Excelsior Fire District follow the most current Fire Danger and Burning Restrictions posted by the DNR.

  • Drop off a signed copy of the permit at Excelsior, Greenwood, Shorewood, Tonka Bay City Hall, or at the Excelsior Fire District Station #1 in Shorewood.
  • A copy of your burn permit should be readily available in the event that an emergency call is generated by the fire. The permit can be posted in an out building as long as it is protected from weather damage.
  • The City of Deephaven does not require a burn permit for recreational fires. Check with the City of Deephaven on recreation fire provisions.
