| About ResourceWest |
|
Best known for its annual community drives like Back to School, Winter Warm Wear, and Toy Chest, ResourceWest is a responsive, community-based nonprofit that makes nearly 7,000 connections annually between people and resources like food banks, shelters, nonprofits, government services, resources for elderly parents, health resources and more. Individuals can also find one-on-one support through the Project Starfish program; computers to use for job and housing searches; help with tax forms and other assistance. ResourceWest serves individuals and families from the west metro area. Their Back-to-School, Winter Warm Wear, and Toy Chest programs serves low-income children from the cities of Hopkins, Minnetonka, Excelsior, Shorewood, Deephaven, Greenwood and Woodland. ResourceWest staff and volunteers practice community building through a process of respectful listening for the needs of other people in the western metro community, reporting on those needs, and then working collaboratively to address those needs. ResourceWest does not charge for its services, but does welcome donations and volunteers. www.resourcewest.org | Phone: 952-988-5350 | 915 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN
